Zineryt solution is used in the treatment of acne vulgaris in children, adults and the elderly.

Medication effect duration

Once prepared, the resulting Zineryt cutaneous solution is stable for 8 weeks and is applied to the affected area of the skin twice daily

Skin treatment

Zineryt comes to you in a special bottle with a special applicator pad to it easy to apply the solution to the whole of the affected area of the skin to be treated.

Active ingredients

Zineryt 40mg + 12mg powder and solvent for cutaneous solution contains -

  • 40mg/ml erythromycin
  • 12mg/ml zinc acetate dihydrate (as the complex)

What condition(s) can Zinert solution be used for?

Zineryt solution contains an antibiotic which is used in the treatment of acne vulgaris (pimples/spots). The antibiotic reduces the growth of bacteria responsible for causing spots.

How to use Zinert solution

Use Zineryt solution exactly as your prescriber has instructed.

The powder and solvent require to be mixed before use - and this should be done in accordance with the instructions provided within the packaging. Once prepared, the resulting cutaneous solution is stable for 8 weeks.

The solution is applied to the affected area of the skin twice daily.

Who cannot use Zinert solution

Do not use Zineryt solution if you are allergic or sensitive to the any of the active ingredients or any of the excipients.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Zineryt solution is safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding but should not be applied to the chest.

Side effects

Like all medication, Zineryt solution can sometimes cause unwanted side effects to occur. Not everyone will experience side effects, but the most common ones are -

  • allergic reactions (rash, itch, swelling etc.)
  • temporary stinging of the skin
  • redness of the skin
