Titration schedule
Oral semaglutide is started at a low dose and increased at intervals defined in the product information and your prescription. The exact milligram strengths and calendar steps depend on the licensed pack you are dispensed. Do not change strength or frequency without speaking to your prescriber.
Missed dose
If you forget a tablet, follow the missed-dose instructions in your patient information leaflet. As a general principle with daily tablets, do not double up the next day unless your prescriber has explicitly advised that approach. If you miss several days, contact us before restarting.
Maximum dose and tolerability
There is a licensed maximum daily dose for oral semaglutide. If side effects limit how quickly you can titrate, your clinician may pause increases or reduce to the last tolerated dose. Treatment goals and tolerability are reviewed together.
